  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  2. Soak breadcrumbs in milk until softened.
  3. Add ground beef, grated Parmesan, parsley, 2 cloves minced garlic and half the finely diced shallot together.
  4. Mix until combined. Roll into balls.
  5. Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet until cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile make a quick Marinara sauce.
  7. Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan. Cook remaining shallot until soft, about 3 minutes.
  8. Add remaining garlic; cook another minute.
  9. Stir in crushed tomatoes and sugar. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes.
  10. Stir in basil. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
