  1. Combine paprika, sugar, cumin, coriander, pepper and salt in a bowl, mix thoroughly.
  2. Remove innards from chicken and pat dry with paper towel.
  3. Set barbeque to high. When ready to cook turn off one half of grill or if using coals push them to one side of the grill.
  4. Gently insert beer can into cavity of chicken. Place chicken upright on grill using legs to support it. Cover barbecue. Let chicken roast for 75 minutes.
  5. Pierce breast with a skewer. If juices run clear then chicken should be fully cooked. Alternatively insert a meat thermometer into the chicken which should read 165° F.
  6. Gently remove from grill and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Carve and serve.
