Method: In a large mixing bowl, sift the dry ingredients together. Add the wet ingredients one at a time, mixing by hand for 2 minutes. Grease and flour cake pans. Bake at 350°F until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Make a chocolate and stout ganache for the cake by setting a bowl above a pot of steaming water, making sure the water and the bowl are not in contact. Add the chocolate chips and whisk in the Stout and cream. When the chocolate is melted, remove from heat. Pour over cake or serve on the side for guests to add themselves.
