While Moscow isn’t exactly the beacon of Summer, this crisp cocktail is just in season. A combination of vodka, lime juice and ginger beer gives it a spicy taste, with a clean, citrus-based finish.

Caipiroska

A variation of the Caipirinha, which is made with Cachaça, similar to rum and made from sugarcane juice, the Caipiroska utilizes vodka instead, along with fresh limes and brown sugar, creating a smooth, refreshing cocktail. Use crushed ice to create an almost slushee-effect, but if that’s not available, regular ice will do.

The Savoy

Grapes are the perfect summer fruit to use in a cocktail — bursting with flavour, easy to use (and eat) and add great colour to a cocktail. This drink utilizes grapes, lemon and a hint of agave syrup to give a light and fruity taste, which would work great as an aperitif.
